Our Guide to Portland
Portland is no slouch when it comes to amazing food. It’s probably our favorite city to nest for a while and enjoy all the local delights. We love it so much that we’ve decided to compile a list of all our favorite spots including restaurants, cafés, breweries, bakeries and also things like plant shops, boutiques and more! Hope you enjoy!
Grant Park, NE Portland
RESTAURANTS
Flying Fish is usually our first stop for lunch in Portland. They offer fresh sustainable seafood featuring oysters, poke, salads, sandwiches, fish and chips, tacos and more including a full bar and a fresh catch market. A must try!

Cicoria (cheh-core-ee-ah) is our favorite spot for a pizza in Portland. This neighborhood pizzeria (by Ava Gene’s) serves up delicious ‘party-cut’ pies using the best seasonal PNW ingredients, house-made mozzarella and a true sourdough crust! We always pair our pizza with their Tuscan Cavalry Salad. So delicious!

Another Portland staple! We probably visit at least once a week while in town. With their fresh, vibrant ingredients, perfect salsas and guacamole, and delicious protein preparations, ¿por que no? holds a special place in our hearts, and bellies…
Poa is one of our favorite neighborhood cafes serving up good clean food, smoothies, lattes and all the warm friendly vibes that keep us coming back. Go see them!

From the minute you walk up to order, you feel like part of the family. We had a great date night here with some wholesome Vietnamese food, delicious cocktails and a fun, friendly atmosphere.
We stumbled upon this spot unexpectedly and ended up sitting down for a brunch that really stoked us for the day. The food was awesome and the drinks were perfect. Our only mistake was not ordering another!

We were eyeing this place for a while and we were so glad we finally stopped in to check it out. Güero makes some excellent tortas, bowls and cócteles. We’ll definitely be back here in no time!

After a couple stops downtown one day we decided to look for lunch nearby and found this gem. Lil’ Shalom is the sister concept of the Mediterranean restaurant Shalom Ya’ll, and has a more casual menu focused on small plates. Based on our experience here we can’t wait to try the flagship location.

This sleepy little neighborhood cafe surprised us with their colorful, feel-good morning drinks. If you’re lucky enough to see some of their crullers on the counter be sure to grab one!
At night they turn into Jacqueline, an oyster bar & seafood joint that we have yet to try.

If you like beer, you’ll like it here. If you don’t like beer, these flavor wizards may just change your mind. Take this one up front for example, ‘Edge of the Dessert’: raspberry, cherry, strawberry, cinnamon, oat, cheesecake, and graham cracker smoothie-style tart ale! Grab yourself a flight to scratch the surface of what these folks have to offer. You won’t be sorry.
Eb & Bean is our go-to dessert spot here in Portland. They offer house made organic, dairy and non-dairy almond and coconut based frozen yogurts with frequently rotating, seasonal flavors. Order it in a cup or cone and personalize it with dozens of delicious toppings to choose from. They also sell their flavors in pints to-go!
